Dublin Fun Fact Friday – Following your Irish roots

If you are visiting Dublin and are of Irish descent, you may want to make a trip to the National Archives. Not too far out from the tourist district and on the way to the Guinness Storehouse, the National Archives hold plenty of information to help you discover your roots or delve in deeper to your family history. You can find the location, contact details and opening hours on their website.

Not planning to see Dublin? There is some information on their website as well so it is worth a visit anyway.

The National Archive has the 1901 and 1911 Irish census online. They`re well worth a trawl for anyone interested in researching their roots.
