Out of many places to get a Guinness in Dublin, the most informative is obviously where it is made. The Guinness Storehouse is a very popular tourist spot, but it is a very interesting tour as well. You can see all the ingredients, and learn about the process of making beer. After going through the steps, you get to sample the finished product. After your glass of Guinness, you continue through more fun exhibits- Guinness marketing through the decades, Guinness art, the ships that transported Guinness, and more. At that point you can learn to pour your own Guinness, or enjoy one poured for you in any of their bars. I’d recommend the Gravity Bar- their top floor, panoramic view floor to ceiling windows give an amazing view of the city (at least when it is clear enough to see out). So when you’re in Dublin, you have to have a pint at a pub, but make sure you check out where it came from and pop over to the Guinness Storehouse.
According to the Irish Times, the Guinness Storehouse is the number one tourist attraction in Ireland. And I agree, the views from the panoramic bar are terrific. I love the way the windows are labelled to show you all the city`s main landmarks too.
